The final objective is to validate whether these Major Depressive Disorder-specific speech features can successfully differentiate individuals with MDD from healthy individuals. By ensuring that the identified markers are both sensitive and specific, we aim to reduce misdiagnosis and enhance the accuracy of MDD detection.
