Since its inception, CIL has embraced community welfare as a core value, channeling resources into transformative projects long before CSR mandates were in place. CIL’s commitment to social responsibility goes far beyond compliance; it strives to be a catalyst for change by funding projects that create real, lasting change across diverse areas such as healthcare, education, rural infrastructure, and sports.  

Past and Future Initiatives

Since 2014, CIL has invested over INR 39 billion into initiatives that bring rapid, life-enhancing improvements, especially to underserved communities. CIL as the only company to assemble a team of 120 CSR professionals, CIL ensures that every project is driven by expertise and a genuine dedication to community welfare. The Speech Health Lab at AIIMS, New Delhi, is a pioneering CSR initiative aimed at empowering the next generation of professionals with technology to deepen their understanding of emotional well-being.
